E-Commerce Executive - Website Developer / Designer

Job Description Summary

We are looking for a talented eCommerce Executive to be responsible for building, designing, updating, and maintaining the brand website and other web tools for the group. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean web design, UI and UX and previous experience in web design.

In the role, you will work with closely with the website support agency and the digital team to create and optimise the current performance of the website in terms of UI, UX and improve the overall quality of the website together with the other key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Builds, designs, and updates website/landing pages on website CMS (Progress Sitefinity) and interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices and incorporate data from back-end databases and services.
  • Creates solutions for identified problems or bugs by working closely with the website support agency.
  • Works closely with graphic design team on digital retouching and image editing.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate web design ideas with digital team and website support agency.
  • Assist website support agency in validating testing schedules that address all browsers and devices, ensuring optimal website speed and responsiveness on all devices and screens.
  • Ensure optimal tracking methodology on the website including Google analytics, Google Tag Manager, pixels installation, google analytics and others as relevant. Ensure on-site SEO is optimised for the website.
  • Develop website performance report for speed, site monitoring and usability by working closely with digital team and website support agency.
  • Lead website personalisation project by ensuring third party tools installed on the website are performing at its best.
  • Lead the content/image parity on all channels including brand website, Online Travel agency sites and other third parity sites.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in web design, multimedia design, or related field.
  • Minimum of [2-3] years’ experience as a web developer/designer.
  • Proficiency with content management systems, including WordPress and others.
  • Good knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services — including CSS, HTML, JavaScript and others.
  • Understands UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
  • Maintains a professional understanding of web development by tracking trends and industry news.
  • Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership of new and different requests.
