WAITER/WAITRESS- EMIRATES LOUNGE

Applications are invited for the position of Waiter/Waitress

  • Position within: Food & Beverage Airport Service
  • Reports to: Senior Waiter
  • Location : Dubai International Airport Terminal 1
  • Category : Hospitality
  • Department : Business class and First class lounges

Key Accountabilities

  • Serve the customers/guests with high quality of food & beverages prepared according to the established standards.
  • Assist other staff in maintaining sufficient stock during the entire shift including checking all the received stock, make sure that the same is in accordance with the order, quality and quantity and display or store them.
  • Ensure that the service station, outlet, area is kept clean and tidy at all times and that crockery and cutlery items are clean and arranged accordingly as per the standard defined procedure.
  • Comply with and practice the company’s established Hygiene Policy and procedures especially in food & equipment handling, and ensure that the environment is clean and organized at all times.
  • Attend to customer complaints satisfactorily or seek the assistance of the Lounge in Charge when not in the position to provide solution to the problem and inform the Supervisor on duty at all times.
  • Assist in collecting, loading and delivery of items to the outlets and perform other related duties as required.
  • Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 International Standards and executes all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting the company’s Quality
Essential Requirements & Competencies
  • Higher Secondary Education or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position within the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items.
  • Working knowledge on different types of beverages i.e. spirits and wine.
  • High standards of verbal and written communication in English.
  • Excellent presentation skills with high grooming standards.
  • Able to exhibit a professional image with competent service delivery standards.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
