Sales Manager- Corporate and MICE

Key Responsibilities:

SALES AND DEVELOPMENT

To identify existing and potential sources of business and to maximize business potential in the corporate market.

  • All leads must be properly followed up and correct information passed on within four working days.
  • To achieve all revenue and sales call targets.
  • To participate in sales trips, special projects with other members of the sales team.
  • Penetrate all new and existing accounts to maximum potential for the hotel.
  • Be aware when the existing companies are “put out to tender” for their hotel requirements and be ready with rates which can be presented in a professional and imaginative way.
  • Regularly monitors performance against targets and is able to identify different source offices.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Will maintain and use effectively all sales administration system.
  • Will prepare a weekly report that highlights actions covered during that period. Include feedback on market trends and future sales activity.
  • Will complete an activity report by set date.
  • To operate within budgeted guidelines of the Director of Sales.

PROMOTION

  • Will organize and attend familiarization trips visits to the hotel and be available out of normal working hours for entertainment, show-around, etc.

LIASON AND COMMUNICATION

  • To ensure an effective system of two-way communication operates within and between Hotel departments.
  • To liaise and communicate on a regular basis with other departments to ensure feedback in both directions is carried out.
  • To attend Sales meetings as required
  • All new promotions and changes in the hotel’s facilities, service or rates should be communicated to clients on sales calls.

GENERAL

  • To be responsible for and maintain company equipment.
  • To understand and maintain the company’s Code of Conducts and Standards of Appearance at all times.
  • To be fully aware of all Health & Safety and Fire precautions ensuring no Contraventions of these policies within the department.
  • To be aware of Hotel’s credit policies and payment terms.
  • To be responsible for collections of credits approved by you.
