Job Summary

Implement a successful solicitation strategy to targeted accounts to achieve or exceed revenue goals. Under the guidance of ADOS is responsible for maximizing rooms and uncovering /F&B/ Conference and Banqueting business from a defined Active Corporate account database.

Essential Functions

  • A minimum of 2 Years UAE Market experience essential with Active Corporate account database.
  • Responsible for the achievement of the Transient segment revenue goal and to uncover F&B, Conference and Banqueting business.
  • This position is responsible for the development of new business within the Corporate segment as well as maintenance of existing accounts to ensure maximum delivery.
  • Contribute to design and implement Sales strategy for these markets.
  • Provide updated intelligence related to Market trends, comp set, industry updates, new companies in the city, major events in Abu Dhabi, etc to Sales Team to be able to understand and anticipate any major changes in markets.
  • Participate in meetings, trainings and other sales related activities as required by the Director of Sales.
  • When appropriate, participate in familiarisation trips and educational tours in line with business needs.
  • Attend tradeshows as required ensuring that the quality image of the organisation is portrayed, and that every opportunity is taken to promote the Hotel.
  • Proactively manages a pre-determined number of key accounts/key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives.
  • Maintain valid sales calls, sites, prospecting objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
  • Proactively prospects new accounts for the hotel and Starwood properties worldwide and following the sales process through to convert into ‘producing’ accounts.
  • In conjunction with the DOS & ADOS, contributes to develop and implement the sales strategy for the hotel, and responsible for communicating this strategy to team members and clients.
  • Contribute in planning, developing and implementing promotional strategies.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual Sales & Marketing Planning process under the direction of the DOS taking responsibility in conjunction with team members for the compilation of the competitor rate and product information, pricing analysis and Key Account Analysis
  • Contribute creating and implementing programs to achieve greater profitability through increasing average rate, overall occupancy and increased business volume
  • Maintain Company Brand Standards within the hotel
