Boutique Supervisor

Reports to Boutique – Assistant Manger

Job Purpose:

To deliver an engaging and knowledgeable service that attracts our potential customers to generate quality new sales and ultimately drive the commercial performance of the company and assisting the Boutique Manager – Boutique Assistant Manager in all managerial related tasks.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Achievement of set individual and overall retail boutique targets.
  • Manage and supervise the performance of the Team during the absence of the Boutique Manager.
  • Being the first point of contact for customers to ensure that guest feedbacks / complaints are dealt with a consistent and fair manner & adhere to all company and cash handling procedures.
  • Handling “special requests” and gift orders.
  • Deal with corporate clients visiting the Boutique.
  • Control of display and adequate stock levels in Boutique in coordination with Manager.
  • Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
  • Prepare and place orders via the system in coordination with the team.
  • Perform the monthly inventory, encoding in the system, explanation of variance report.
  • Assist in cash, credit, and petty cash controls.
  • Training of junior staff, showcasing an excellent product knowledge.
  • Conducting the “bite size training”, in store trainings.

Job Accountabilities

  • Reach individual and overall sales targets.
  • Demonstrate profoundly product knowledge.
  • Ensure that store hygiene standards are always met and that all products are handled accordingly.
  • Maintaining merchandise and ensure proper display, storage etc.
  • Assure smooth shop opening and closing, comply with the standards and policies in place.
  • Monitoring inventory and report levels to the Boutique Manager.
  • Ensure appropriate storing and stock rotation of the products to control spoilage.
  • Reporting any malfunctioning equipment to the relevant maintenance contractor, keeping the manager informed.
  • Performing all functions of the salesperson whenever needed.

Staff Planning

  • Assist in the store’s staffing requirements during slow, normal, and peak season, complying rosters and staffing accordingly
  • Manage and direct all personnel in absence of the Manager with regards to duty, appearance, and performance
  • Feedback on Team and individual performance, assist the Boutique Manager in the yearly appraisal cycle
  • Demonstrate a perfect product knowledge and maintain staff awareness

Experience requirement:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ retail experience
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written English language
  • Qualification and Licenses requirement:
  • High School Certificates/Diploma
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Postgraduate Degree
