Reservations Agent

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain effective guest relations to ensure prompt conversion of inquiries & repeat business
  • Work closely with the other departments of the hotel specially Front Office and Sales.
  • Process and confirm guest room reservations and ensure that all correspondences are actioned in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keep track of all LPO’s, ensure that correct rates, payment method, credit facilities, market segment, visa, flight details and other relevant information are updated in the Opera PMS.
  • Check all bookings done thru B2B (Wholesalers) and B2C (OTA) channels, ensure booking details downloaded in the system match with the extranet details and the rates match our rate for the day or the contracted rates. In case of discrepancy, report immediately to the superior for action.
  • Monitor daily no shows and cancellations, charge payments where applicable - according to the company policy and reporting of such in OTA extranets to avoid discrepancies in commission.

Preferred qualifications and skills:

  • 1 year experience in Reservations or Reception or a similar position in preferably 5 star.
  • Has experience in of Property Management System operations – Opera.
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively in English, Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
