Public Relations Officer

TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Human Resources Manager in directing and co-coordinating all employee and labor/immigration relations activities within the hotel to ensure compliance with the law.
  • Responsible for legal formalities for the staff works permits
  • Responsible for communicating with the local authorities.
  • Responsible for executing all activities related to the immigration and labour office.
  • Coordinating & executing visa requirements for all new recruits and monitoring the visa count.
  • Responsible for entering all Visa and Passport information into the Oasys for new recruits maintaining accurate information for existing staff members.
  • Issuing all relevant forms to people as and when requested as per the company policy.
  • Follow up relations with government department regarding legal Documents such as:

Trade License

Immigration Card

Labor Establishment Card

Chamber of commerce and tourist department

Municipality clinic for the health

  • Managing the process of Staff Medical, Food Handlers medical and ensuring that we are in compliance with the requirements of the Labour Laws.
  • Handles cash float and make Expense statement on consistent basis to ensure adequate cash is available for the staff as and when needed.
  • Assist in implementing all required policies and procedures
  • Inform Human Resources Manager about any changes in Labour policy or regulation.
  • Insure a proper filing system is maintained for all Hotel Employees
  • Make month end report
  • Arrange all concerned papers for the Owner’s Representative signature
  • Keep a track of expiries of passports, Emirates ID, Visas and work permits on a monthly basis
  • Handle all bank, consulate, traffic, etisalat etc letters for the staff.
  • Meet the project deadlines assigned by the Human Resources Manager.
SECURITY, HEALTH AND SAFETY

·Fully understands the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures

·Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct is maintained by all employees

·Operate equipment using procedures learnt during training to company standards.

·To report immediately any equipment failures or problems to the HR Department.

·Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

·To be vigilant in the workplace and report any signs of fire related issues.

·Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.

·Ensure all security incidents and accidents are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Human Resources Manager

·To attend all mandatory training sessions selected by the Hotels Training Department.

MISCELLANEOUS

·Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests

and stakeholders

·Maintains own working area, and materials clean, tidy and in good shape; reports defective materials and equipment to appropriate person within the hotel

·Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve knowledge of own job function

Is well updated on:

- Hotel fire, bomb and emergency procedures

- Hotel health and safety policies and procedures

- Hotel facilities and nearby sights of interest and importance (i.e. hospitals,

stations, tourist sights)

- Hotel standards of operation and departmental procedures

- Current licensing relating to own department and to the hotel

- Short and long term hotel as well as Corporate marketing and promotional
