General Manager, Hurawalhi Island Resort & Kudadoo Private Island

We have a great opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic General Manager with holistic approach to join our Hurawalhi Island Resort & Kudadoo Private Island.

The General Manager will be responsible to direct all resort team to established CCR standards, with the primary goals of increasing profitability and continuously improving on guest service/satisfaction, while maintaining high employee morale.

The Role:

  • General Manager will have a proven track record in the deliverance of quality within a branded resort environment
  • Commercial acumen and excellent people management skills providing effective leadership and operational support to the hotel management team to ensure the delivery of targets
  • Directing and guiding the management team through regular communication, including 1:1 meetings and Head of Department meetings
  • Effectively managing resort issues, including capital projects, as required
  • Developing and delivering resort budgets, short and long term strategic goals
  • Proactively managing all audit and compliance requirements to ensure standards are achieved
  • Ensuring the effective control of costs through analysis and corrective action on a timely basis
  • Developing managers and team members to encourage succession planning within the two resorts
  • Leading by example and instilling a culture of pride and accountability, rewarding and recognizing contributions of the team through engagement activities and events
  • Evaluates changes to the guest's needs and competitive trends to recommend appropriate products/services and operational changes to maximize guest satisfaction

What are we looking for?

  • A Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management/equivalent and/or significant industry experience
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in Revenue Management
  • Previous luxury resort experience, preferably in Maldives
  • Minimum 6 years General Manager experience
  • Competence in managing budgets, revenue proposals and forecasting results
  • In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a proven track record in delivering results in a quality environment
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage, motivate and drive the team to achieve high levels of performance
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent planning and organization skills to ensure deadlines are met consistently
