Electrician - Multi Technician

Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa was newly built from the ground up in 2014. The Resort offers spacious guest rooms and suites ranging from 51 up to 270 square meters, several restaurants and bars, Banqueting area, a modern spa & fitness center with Russian sauna, a tennis court and as well as the largest swimming pool in Seychelles with an area of 700 square meters.

Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa is located on the northwest coast of Mahe, the largest island of the archipelago, on the famous Beau Vallon beach, which stretches for several kilometers along the Beau Vallon bay.

Scope of position

The Multi technician – Electrical maintains all aspects of the hotel’s electrical work in accordance with the standards to achieve optimum product quality at all times.


Main responsibilities

·Executes all electric and associated work in the Hotel to the highest professional standard for the Hotel;

·Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools;

·Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem;

·Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components;

·Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes;

·Maintains par levels for all common electrical parts and other equipment;

·Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures;

·Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications;

·Carries out minor repair work related to electricity;

·Responds to a guest maintenance request within 15 minutes of receipt of the same;

·Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair; 

·Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guestroom or public areas;

·Ensures that the plant room, workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy;

·Observes prescribed safety standards;

·Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others;

·Performs related duties and special projects as assigned;

·Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions and festivities.


Skills requirement

·Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience with the similar position in Hospitality industry or similar organization;

·Certificate in engineering or equivalent; 

·Knowledgeable in electrical control panel/system wiring and functionality;

·Knowledgeable in 3 phase /1 phase power connection/ rectification and troubleshooting;

·Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, skills, equipment, procedures and materials;

·Applies knowledge to identify issues and internal problems; 

·Action and Result Oriented;

·Creative/Innovative;

·Solves engineering problems using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles;

·Basic knowledge of in Kitchen maintenance equipment;

·Ability for predictive maintenance;

·Skills to analyze feedback information and propose remedial action;

·Ability to work with minimal supervision;

·Fluency in English.
