Marketing Executive (m/w/d) MUNICH COMPLEX

Marriott International seeks a dynamic, creative and innovative Marketing Executive to support the integrated strategies designed to position 3 hotels located in Munich - The Westin Grand Munich, Four Points by Sheraton Munich Arabellapark Hotel and Aloft Munich- competitively on the market. The role will support the Marketing Manager and have a strong focus on demand generation, brand-strong guest experiences and creative engagement that drive both local and international loyalty.

The Marketing Executive will implement all offline and online tactics to market. A key focus will be to maintain and grow the hotels' international reputation within the Transient Leisure and Meetings and Groups sectors. The role will also be responsible for executing food and beverage marketing plan to help position and drive footfall into the hotels' restaurants and bars. Strong creative programming is also an essential output for this role.

The position is reporting directly into the Marketing Manager for the Munich Complex.
Key job functions
Within the confines of each hotel's marketing budget and business requirements, this position will be responsible for activating and supporting innovative marketing initiatives, which will improve key financial, and customer metrics for the hotels and their venues.

  • For each hotel, fulfill the content-led marketing plan within budget. Integrate across key channels to communicate hotel positioning and brand passions to target audience. This includes photography, video, copywriting and other forms of storytelling content, ensuring delivery in adherence with brand guidelines and hotel positioning
  • Support sales team with the creation of marketing collateral and tactical promotion associated with the key market segments (e.g. Groups, Weddings, Suites)
  • In collaboration with the Digital Field Marketing team, develop and drive execution of social media content calendar for each hotel
  • Analyze the hotels' competitive strengths / USPs, assist in developing hotel / outlet positioning and communicate core consumer messaging that clearly differentiates the hotels from their competitors
  • Support needs of the market and property to ensure maximization of all channels in collaboration with the Digital Field Marketing team
  • Implement local marketing activities including partnership initiatives, with a view to engage with locals and increase awareness
  • Drive brand activation and ensure the brand experience comes alive through the hotels' messaging and guest experience
  • Collaborate with local and corporate PR & Communications teams in developing integrated marketing campaigns with media angle
  • Deliver tactical marketing campaigns across all segments and in line with business needs
  • Pro-actively seek opportunities to represent the hotels in coordination with the Marketing Manager, always mindful of events that might be relevant for hosting at one of the hotel's venues
  • Focus on increasing engagement with local loyalty program members through the coordination of events and enhancing guest experience with Elite Members on property
  • Ensure full compliance with all brand marketing standards & programs

Your profile
Professional attributes, skills & experience
  • 1 year in a marketing role or relevant hospitality experience preferred
  • Excellent command of the German and English languages - both written & spoken
  • Have strong project management skills with the ability to connect with many different stakeholders both internally and externally
  • A natural and proven ability with social media, especially Facebook, Instagram
  • Experienced in Indesign and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Superior analytical skills required
  • Strong communication and presentational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing preferred but not required
