Job Description?– Sales & Marketing Manager

Job Summary

  • To assist the Director of Sales?& Marketing?through consistent solicitations while establishing trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the hotel. Is responsible for promoting sales for the resort.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • To coordinate customer service requirements as appropriate?within 24 hours.
  • To work as a team member with the sales and?marketing team and reservations team?to in close contact with assigned?team members.
  • To demonstrate a sense of?teamwork.
  • To meet all deadlines.
  • To have a sales-minded approach toward all job functions and duties.
  • To work in an integrated team manner with all departments.
  • To develop and maintain positive working relationships with all associates.
  • To demonstrate a sense of urgency toward improving the Hotels' revenue performance.
  • To communicate suggestions in a constructive manner that shows a keen understanding and respect for others.
  • To maintain a positive attitude and positive spirit of performance.
  • To ensure the Sales processes are efficient and exceed our customers’?expectations from inquiry stage to the post event follow-up.
  • To be passionately curious about sourcing new opportunities of where and when we can grow our revenues.
  • To coordinate the client’s needs to ensure they are being met.
  • To attend and assist hotel functions when needed.
  • To understand customers, builds organizational credibility, and develops new revenue sources.
  • To displays a positive attitude, maintains enthusiasm and celebrates successes.
  • To ensure compliance with company standards.
  • To provide guest assistance from GREAT customer service and resolving guest issues.
  • To maintain rapport with clients.
  • To work closely with reservations and front desk staff to provide excellent service to clients.
  • To do administrative duties such as preparing of marketing call reports, keep track of group bookings etc.
  • To handle?clients?feedback, complaints on all booking issues.
  • Ensure participation in Morning Briefings and all other relevant meetings wherever required.
  • To ensure the implementation and usage of Sales Force system and to log all sales activities in the system.
  • All group?quotes are sent within 24 hours after receipt of enquiry
  • Liaise with other operational department and ensure a high level of service and standard is delivered to fam trip and visits.
  • To demonstrate a high level of professionalism, product knowledge and confidence while conducting a site inspection.
  • To assist the DOSM in the administrative tasks of the department such as maintaining the TO and TA database?up-to-date, to ensure the stop-sale database is?up-to-date, the calendar of visits is?up-to-date, the group calendar is?up-to-date.
  • Ensure that a memo with all relevant information is distributed to “all users” prior to any hotel visit.
  • Ensure all complimentary forms are duly signed and document with the reservations department.
  • To ensure a proper filing process is in place with (All signed contracts / All contacts,?Addresses) One?file per account for every market.
  • To assist the DOSM in the preparation of the Strategic Business Plan. 
  • To represent One&Only Reethi Rah in assigned Kerzner Tradeshows and resort events, demonstrating the high standards of One&Only Reethi Rah and complying with all code of conduct procedures.
  • Liaise with the PR / Marketing / Reservation and Revenue department to ensure a good coordination and sharing of information
  • To display a high level of team spirit
  • To ensure that all documents (Quote, Memos, reports, PPTs) are all on-brand as the per Corporate and Global guidelines.

Experience & Educational Requirements? 

  • Minimum?3 years’ experience?in acknowledged resorts and hotels
  • Diploma / Degree in Hospitality Management or Sales & Marketing.
  • Strong leadership skills
