Deputy Cluster General Manager

We have a great opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Professionals to join our Cluster Hotels on Seychelles Islands – Savoy Seychelles Resort and SPA (https://savoy.sc) and Coral Strand Smart Choice Seychelles (https://coralstrand.com).


This person will oversee and manage all areas of 4* Hotel operations (Coral Strand Hotel) including Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B & Engineering, working closely with all HOD's & the ExCom team, to deliver a 'vibrant hospitality' and, in addition, will make a special emphasis on Projects both Savoy Resort and SPA and Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Management of the Hotel in order to obtain maximum profit and provide highest standards of service in line with positioning of the both the hotels.

·Implements the approved Business Development Strategy, sales strategies, etc. with guidance from the Cluster General Manager and mainly focusing on the Projects strategy, collaborating with the Cluster General Manager, Cluster Chief Engineer and Corporate Project Director.

·Continuously searches for profit reserves both in increasing revenues and in reducing the costs of the hotel. After the approval of these proposals, he/ she achieves their implementation.

·Ensures the implementation of strategic guidelines, for example, the development of new strategies in operations at Coral Strand in guidance with Cluster General Manager.

·Is responsible for the implementation of approved quality standards. Ensures the achievement of the established targets for the rating of the hotel in Booking.com

·Provides and is responsible for the implementation of the approved budget for all approved key indicators.

·According to the approved methodology (with a protocol, an act and an analysis of non-compliance), a daily inspection of the hotel is conducted to ensure compliance with established standards and quality.

·Manages human resources along with HR Manager with guidance from Cluster General Manager: selects and employs personnel, determines the functional duties of employees, distributes the responsibility of employees in accordance with business requirements.

·Ensures the implementation of investment and infrastructure projects of Coral Strand closely collaborating with CGM and also collaborates on minor projects at Savoy Resort and Spa.

·Interacts with Cluster Managers on their functional purpose.

·Introduces proposals for the promotion of employees.

·Employee is required to carry out duties under this contract honestly, loyally and diligently, to be well mannered, disciplined and respectful.

·Managing the full operation of Coral Strand and ensures the implementation of actions mentioned in the strategy and others directed by CGM.

·Will be responsible for the planning, managing and execution of Balustrade & corridor renovation project, revamping of air-conditioning project and finally room refurbishment project.

·Will work along with Corporate Project Director in ensuring the projects are managed and executed within the agreed time frame and also, ensuring the operation of the hotel is not hindered.

·Will manage all guest related issued during the project ongoing stage and also , will diligently , draw up plans and measures to pro-actively eliminate or limit guest complaints during this phase .

·Employee is required to carry out duties under this contract honestly, loyally and diligently, to be well mannered, disciplined and respectful.


MANAGING WORK WITH THE HOTEL’S GUESTS AND PARTNERS:

·Working with the guests; complaints in order to ensure there is a high level of service provided to each guest.

·Ensure the property and facilities are handled in the perfect conditions; providing the secure and increase of the hotels’ properties.

·Participation in public and professional companies with the purpose to support and increase the image of the hotels, which will lead to its growth.

·Control of the market analysis, participation in different events as the first face of the properties.


REQUIREMENTS:

•Extensive knowledge and experience in operations within hospitality;

•Must have excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of successfully managing an international team;

•Must have experience in planning and directing operations in improving revenues and cost control;

•Island experience is an advantage.
