  • Base salary: Let’s talk! From AED15,000 per month: currently equivalent to £3,300UK / $4,100USD per month tax free
  • Accommodation: YES, an accommodations allowance sufficient to rent an individual apartment
  • Travel allowance: YES, this support allowance is given too
  • Reporting to: Director of Human Resources
  • Maths: Doing some calculations, with the base salary and accommodations allowance and travel allowance, this is a package of circa £70,000UK(before tax, if it was a UK role)

The Brilliant Role Overview

  • As part of the opening team, you will be responsible for the opening of the hotel and continuance of quality standards once the fabulous property is open.
  • You will be responsible for identifying training needs and developing cost effective training initiatives to achieve the set business unit/s goals.
  • You will greatly contribute to the processes and activities that create and promote the company culture, values and bring the Company Philosophy to life ensuring our employees receive nothing but the best experience.
  • Being fully responsible for on brand arrival of all employees and the first week of onboarding training, you will also coordinate and put plans in place to ensure that all mandatory training and learning activities are completed for each employee.
  • The values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day.
  • As a Learning and Development Manageryou’ll have the opportunity to bring these to life and continue to create legacies.
  • You will strive to create and maintain a community of winning talent which feels valued and lives the connection to the brand and the Company culture in whatever you do.
  • You will also be responsible to develop an effective annual Training Plan together with the Director of Human Resources which meets the needs of employees as outlined in Personal Development Plans and which assists the hotel and other associated business units to achieve its goals and objectives. Further, you will identify from the engagement surveys, guest feedback and other available reports sources potential training needs and actions where required.
  • You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to both managers and employees on training opportunities, career choices, qualifications and other learning and development matters to fully support each and every employee in their learning and development needs.
  • Monitoring effectiveness of pre- and post-course briefings to ensure maximum benefit from training courses and identify future training needs will also be a crucial part of your role.
  • It will be critical for you to also take active part in the development and execution of an internal communication strategy to engage employees behind the hotel’s vision, values, service and operational goals.

You the BRILLIANT Learning and Development Manager

  • You will be currently working within a quality 5 star hotel environment as an L&D Trainer, L&D Manager or L&D Specialist.
  • You will have worked in 
  • You’ll bring your unique personality and passion to the role and the team.
  • You have a talent for facilitating training sessions and workshops, and developing training programmes.
  • You are efficient, organized and have a passion for developing employees.
  • You are skilled in training needs analysis and able to demonstrate effective solution finding.
  • Your talent in analyzing the situation and trends will be a great help to you in developing and applying appropriate strategies and tactics.
  • With excellent ability to multi-task and superb time-management skills, you will be great in planning, organizing and implementing various initiatives and events.
  • You are adaptable to the ideas of different cultures, settings and situations. You have a positive demeanour and excellent communication skills
  • As a detail orientated and hands on Team Player with strong interpersonal skills, you will thrive on mentoring team members to achieve better results and celebrate success within the team.
  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. You have great communication skills with a strong customer service and business ethic.
  • English is the primary language used in our hotel. You can comfortably communicate in this language.
  • You will have a relevant professional certification or hotel school diploma and bring wealth of past experience working in similar capacity for luxury hotels. Your previous experience in the Middle East will be a competitive advantage.
  • You will be sparkling in personality and immaculate in attire.
  • When asked, you will be able to provide at least 2 recent evaluations / appraisals from your current company, plus glowing written references which you have on file already.
  • Your resume / CV will be smartly presented with it showing the titles of the training courses you have facilitated.
  • You will be currently (or soon) on land (not at sea) and available for interviews on Zoom / TEAMS as invited.
