Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Housekeeping Supervisor – you’ll coordinate with the room attendant and supervise the designated floors to ensure the highest level of cleanliness, presentation and guest care, as laid down in the Standard Operation / Service.

·To open AM, PM and Midnight shift and assign staff tasks in designated areas

·To coordinate and supervisor daily activities of the room attendant to ensure clean, tidy and well supplied guest rooms, hallways, elevators, staircases, service areas and pantries.

·To check and release all the rooms on your allocated assignment/ in your assigned area.

·To daily prepare all arrival rooms, meeting the guest upon check in and during his/ her stay

·Record, priorities and coordinate check in and check out of groups, VIP arrivals and back to back crew rooms.

·To collect twice daily occupancy reports from room attendant and accurately report such to front office.

·To identify discrepancy and immediately report such to front office.

·To daily hand over assignment, at the end of the shift, in form of a logbook message summarizing all tasks completed and follow up for fellow supervisors/ next shift.

·To set up and execute periodical cleaning schedules.

·To liaise with engineering with regard to any engineering work orders required in your designated areas.

·To establish an effect, follow up on pending engineering work orders and report such on a weekly basis.

·To ensure all chemicals are stored and applied in accordance with H&S policies and all staff are fully trained. 

·To assist in controlling of all operating expenses within the budget requirements.

·To ensure and spot check that all room attendants’ equipment is used and maintained properly and handled in hygienic way.

·To check stock levels, maintaining a minimum balance level and making requisition accordingly.

·To coordinate and participate in housekeeping inventories both for store and linen items

·To ensure your subordinates and your grooming and personal hygiene is always maintained at the highest level. 

·To report and handle Lost & Found items with great care and accuracy, immediately reporting items to the office.

·To report any loss, theft, damage or strange behaviour/ incident to your superior immediately. 

·To train and develop all staff to the desired level of skill, knowledge and competency required to ensure standard performance.

·To attend any nominated training session and furthermore, constantly asses your subordinates training needs.

·To establish and maintain a work atmosphere filled with team spirit among your housekeeping colleagues and other departments.

·May assist with other duties as assigned
