Housekeeping Supervisor

Crawford & Carruthers Inc. is actively searching for Housekeeping Team Leaders for our client, a 5-star luxury property Salaries $3 700 net plus excellent live-in benefits.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 2 years of experience as a housekeeper in a luxury resort.

  2. English-proficient (written & verbal)

  3. Experience in managing teams of 3 – 5 people.

  4. A hands-on leader that is actively assists the team on the floor.

  5. Highly organized with strong work ethic.

  6. Advanced chemical knowledge

  7. Good communications, organization and diplomacy

  8. Ability to delegate and setting tasks for your team

  9. Able to quickly adapt to change

  10. Eye for detail and Customer-Focused

  11. Able to work unsupervised and be a team leader when required.

  12. Impeccable appearance and high work ethic/moral standards

  13. Proficient with computers and mobile devices

  14. Proactive to problems and solutions under pressure

Job Functions

  1. Step in as Team Leader in absence of the Senior Housekeeper.

  2. Knows & Upholds the Employer’s culture with cleaning policies & procedures.

  3. Support Senior Housekeeper to manage Housekeeping Department.

  4. Ensuring that all housekeepers equipment are clean.

  5. Taking stock of lockers and re-stock of lockers.

  6. Supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring all tasks undertaken are completed efficiently and to a high standard, giving appropriate direction where necessary.

  7. Administrative duties; use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and for data entry and records/system maintenance.

  8. Prepare daily report and feedback to Head Housekeeper.

  9. Be able to adapt, be flexible to a variety of situation and remain effective to meet changing demands.

  10. Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed including safety regarding manual handling and chemical use.

  11. Required to stand-in as Team Leader in his/her absence and confidently lead and motivate the team, working independently and in close co-operation with others.

  12. Team Leader will be in charge of all guest laundry needs. Taking it to laundry and bringing it back. Making sure it is logged in a logbook with damage, difference in color and pointing it out to the family private butlers and main laundry if acknowledged by butlers. Butlers to sign the acknowledgement of the damage and color difference.

  13. To be cost conscious with the use of cleaning materials, linen, towel and other consumables.

  14. To ensure that property is maintained properly and treated with respect at all times.

  15. Actively participate in continuous individual training and upskilling of team, provided by the company.

  16. Assist the management and other Hill Robinson personnel in such other matters as may be reasonably required.

  17. Attend and participate in daily briefings, meetings, and training sessions as scheduled

  18. Making sure that staff leave form is completed for staff under you and approved for below reasons:

  19. Vacation – Paid leave

  20. Personal Leave – No Compensation

  21. AWOL – Non-Compensation – Unauthorized Leave (Did not turn up for work)

  22. Sick Leave – Doctors Certificate after 2 Days needed

  23. Bereavement (compassionate leave) As per employee handbook

  24. Other – for any other leave that is not stated above

  25. Share the daily tasks with Housekeepers during meeting.

  26. Ensure all areas are done.

  27. Making sure all flowers are looking fresh (replace some if needed).

  28. Ensuring that housekeepers are using the color coded rags and the right equipment.

  29. Inspections of all areas.

  30. Training of all new staff.
