Set to be a huge success, overlooking the city center from Zurich's stunning Uetliberg plateau, this property is home to 87 suites and rooms as well as 7 award-winning and new culinary concepts centered around FIVE's hallmark musical stylings. The new FIVE hotel in Zurich seamlessly unites the very best of Swiss hospitality with FIVE's characteristic flair for exceptionally indulgent experiences for guests from the city and international visitors alike.

Our Housekeeping team are the final piece of the puzzle, they are cultured yet trendy personalities with an intuitive ability to anticipate colleagues' needs by being in the right place at the right time and delivering a hospitality experience that goes above and beyond - crafting experiences for our team members that last a lifetime.

As a Public Area Attendant you will join a committed housekeeping team driven with the intent of delivering 'FIVE-star' guest experiences to an international diaspora.

As our ideal candidate, you have proven experience in a highly active environment. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push groundbreaking boundaries.

You'll work closely with the management team to develop constantly evolving service goals.
Key Responsibilities

  • Clean corridors and floor public areas around guest rooms assigned. Also maintain cleanliness of equipment and pantries
  • Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
  • Supports the smooth running of the housekeeping department, where all aspects of the guest experience are delivered to the highest levels
  • Works as part of a team that maximizes guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and timely response to guest enquiries
  • Takes responsibility for the duties and tasks assigned to the role, ensuring that all work is carried out in a timely and professional manner
  • Delivers on departmental plans and objectives, where FIVE's initiatives & targets are achieved
  • Collaborates with their immediate report, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships whilst promoting FIVE's culture and values.
  • Keep yourself informed of hotel product and service knowledge to answer guest questions
  • Answer all guest questions / requests in a friendly and caring manner, take appropriate actions or if needed, refer the matters to the relevant persons to handle. It may be providing information, giving an extra item such as a towel, etc.
  • Write down on their assignment sheets relevant information for record purposes and possible future inquiries. At the end of shift, report special attention guest, unusual situations, incidents that need follow up, to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction
  • Provide the turn down service to assigned guest rooms according to standards established by the hotel. It involves, but not limited to, turning down the bed, replenishing guest room and bath supplies and cleaning the bathroom if necessary. Help control guest and cleaning supplies to save costs

What We're Looking For
  • Hands-on approach with a 'can-do!' work attitude
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest services with a passion.
  • Knowledge of the housekeeping industry and up to date with housekeeping trends
  • Proficiency, at intermediate level, with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent standards of cleanliness and knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals
  • Previous public area attendant experience of 1 - 2 years is a plus
  • Must be highly organized and energetic and possess the ability to get the job done.
  • Swiss work permit holder or EU ID / Passport holder
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations
  • Ability to find creative solutions while taking ownership for all duties and tasks assigned
