Guest Service Agent - German Speaking

We are looking for German speaking Guest Service Agent(s) for 

Reethi Beach Resort

located in the beautiful Baa Atoll in the Maldives!

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but not limited to the following areas and activities. At management’s discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

·Fully understand and embrace Reethi Beach Resort, Maldives vision and values and its application in all tasks associated with the host’s duty.

·Adhere to all Reethi Beach Resort, Maldives brand standards ensuring successful communication across all levels of the operation.

·Weekly and Daily checking of all arrivals and departures to ensure all the information are in the system, liaise with relevant teams for confirmations and meeting guest requirements.

·Able to perform all Arrival Services and Departure Services to the guests. Carry Check-In and Check-out according to resort standards. Operating credit card machines, charging, voiding, pre-authorizing and offline charging and update all the information in the computer system.

·Be familiar with room amenities including room layout, types of villas, rate structure etc. Inspect all guest room amenities prior to their arrival ensuring their excellence. Arrange, record, deliver and charge all special requests for arriving guests.

·Does resort orientation and room orientation to the guests.

·The Guest Service Agent must collect, record in the Guest log-book and submit guest history information on a daily basis.

·Solid knowledge of Resort Activities and timing to obtain proper resourcefulness, Coordination and Booking of Services/Activities

·Ensure Resort credit procedures are followed and operated in a discreet and tactful manner.

·Ensure all guest postings and paid-outs are carried out correctly with accurate paperwork completed for accounting purposes.

·Take extra note of all guest wake-up calls, record them correctly and follow up to ensure they are carried out effectively.

·The Guest Service Agent will in all their encounters with guests and staff, behave in the most discreet and confidential manner. In accordance with standard resort policy, the Guest Service Agent will not discuss any guest with another or an outsider (especially the Press) nor, discuss any guest with any member of staff except for their Supervisors or their Management.

·Create extra exciting moments for guests at every opportunity, including recognizing and celebrating their birthdays, anniversaries etc.

·Liaise with the Sommelier/ F&B department on the variety and sale of wines and their billing procedures.

·Very good organizational skills and strong inter-departmental communication.

·Must understand how to Inspect Rooms/Suites through Housekeeping standards and Guest’s requests.

·Sell, up sell and cross sell all Spa, Boutique Shop, F & B facilities Dive and water sports, etc

·Be familiar with room amenities including room layout, types of villas, rate structure etc.

·Brief all VIP guests’ needs to GM, RM on their arrival.

·Handle all guest complaints, enquiries, comments and log them and initiate appropriate action and follow up.

·Perform any other duties as assigned by Management
