A Groups, Conference & Events Sales Coordinator for the Mercure Hotel Suites & Apartments will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. 

What will I be doing? 

As Groups, Conference & Events Sales Coordinator for the Mercure Hotel Suites & Apartments, you will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. 

  • The Groups, Conference & Events Sales Coordinator will interact frequently with guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Specifically, a Groups, Conference & Events Sales Coordinator will perform the following tasks to the highest standards 
  • Assist the GC&E Team in converting existing business leads.
  • Prospect new business opportunities 
  • Submit all DTCM/CID license permits on the system for all events taking place in the property 
  • Handle inquiries and expedite overall team response time 
  • Support the GC&E Team in daily administrative activities 
  • Conduct daily prospect calls and report client feedback and potential opportunities 
  • Assist the team in site inspections and house tours to promote facilities and services 
  • Handle business leads for relatively small or big groups 
  • Organize and distribute all administrative documents (BEO, Group resumés, etc.) 
  • Act as link between Client, GC&E team and Operations 
  • Assist the team in drafting offers, contracts and general correspondence with guests.
  • Coordinate with field sales team on potential business leads 
  • Follow up with reservations team to ensure all PMS data is in line with contract obligations
  • Issue pro-forma invoices and follow up on deposits in compliance with applicable operating procedures
  • Follow Up on all cut off and decision due dates 
  • Control invoice completeness and payment process in adherence with Mercure sales guidelines 
  • Operate all filing and report distribution efficiently 
  • Participate and support additional Sales and Marketing activities as requested

  • Excellent grooming standards.
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in the Conference and Events function
