General Manager – Luxury Boutique Hotel – West Africa

  • Candidate MUST be decisive VIP ambassador who can cater to the service needs for Government dignitaries, VIP's and CEO's
  • Candidate MUST have African experience. Those who have experience in Sub-Saharan / West African locations having worked as General Manager for a 5 star hotel will be highly preferred
  • Candidate must be between the age of 45-55 years
  • Candidate MUST also have very strong Rooms and F&B background
  • Candidate MUST be an effective strategist in business development, marketing, branding, administration & networking

We are looking for a highly skilled General Manager who has been associated with some of the finest luxury hotels to lead and manage operations for a well-known high-end boutique property in West Africa which is known for uncompromising quality in all services including food and beverage standards combined with state-of-the-art business, leisure and accommodation facilities.

The property is very often used as a place for hosting events by governments, VIPs and CEOs. We therefore require the services a o highly capable General Manager who's primary aim is customer satisfaction. We are searching for someone who can "read the minds" of the most discerning clientele.

Position Specifications:

  • Minimum 7-8 years’ experience as General Manager with upmarket hotels or resorts. Candidate MUST have prior experience in Africa working as a General Manager for a very luxurious property and having played host to VIPs, CEOs and government dignitaries
  • Must be a strong networker who can build relationships and maintain them at very high level by offering the best service
  • Must have strong F&B services background with thorough knowledge of Rooms Division
  • Must have exceptional Sales and Marketing experience to drive promotions and bottom line revenue
  • Proven track record with regards to cost control
  • Ensuring perfect coordination between individual departments
  • Strong operational background with hands-on attitude to daily operations and exceeding guests expectations
  • Natural leader and strategist
  • Project Management experience is highly desirable
  • Great motivator and communicator
  • Passion for superior service, standards and product
