BASIC FUNCTION:
A Food Runner assists servers and bartenders in creating a unique experience for our guests. Runners are fun and professional individuals who thrive in an upbeat, fast-paced work environment and exhibit a passion for exceptional food and great guest service.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

Scheduling: The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and are expected to work Game Days, Ring Ceremonies, Graduation, and other high occupancy times due to special events. Punctuality and reliability are essential to respect and trust-building for our team members; these are the critical ingredients in creating memorable experiences for all our guests we serve. Additionally, we strive hard to manage and minimalize overtime, but it should and will be expected when business levels call for it.

Position Status and Scheduling Expectations:

  • Part-Time: 20 - 30 hours a week depending on the level of business forecast for the hotel
  • Days: Varying Saturday - Friday 6AM - 4PM or Varying Wed - Saturday 3 pm - 11 pm

JOB DESCRIPTION :

As a team member of the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, we require everyone first to Walk the Path of P.R.I.D.E. before every shift to check someone in, create a cocktail, clean a guest room or execute a meeting/event. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer one-year restaurant experience.
  • Pleasant personality.
  • Excellent communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Assist servers and bartenders in fulfilling any guest needs
  • Assist in marking and pre-bussing tables
  • Liaison between the kitchen and the public areas for the outlets during service
  • Coordinate food orders to support timely and efficient delivery to each table.
  • Sanitize and clear tables promptly in an unobtrusive manner.
  • Possessing and utilizing knowledge of all offered restaurant menus.
  • Support in providing water and bread throughout the meal to the guest.
  • Provide quick and attentive assistance to any mishap in the outlets.
  • Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
