Food & Beverage Procurement Specialist

About the role:

The F&B Procurement Specialist assists in various activities related to F&B procurement function and ensuring that related supplies adhere to the best achievable price and terms while sustaining best practice operation standards within the F&B sector.


  • Gather and summarize data to prepare reports, schedules, agreements, proposals, summaries, and letters to support assigned F&B Procurement activities.
  • Organize the initiation of PO (purchase orders) for overseas air, sea and truck container shipments. Coordinates in planning the resourcing for any products QA HMSHost needs to purchase, based on demand (product, quantity, timing, lead times, etc.)
  • Conduct continuous research to locate potential F&B suppliers and perform review and comparison on F&B products
  • Monitors and verified accompanying shipping documents (Bills of Lading, Commercial invoices, packing lists, Certificate of Origin, Halal Certificate, Health Certificates) and etc. to ensure full compliance with relevant Customs, Health Authorities and other external requirements.
  • Visit F&B stores and warehouse regularly to monitor physical stock levels and liaise with the warehouse manager if any action required for further enhancement.
  • Act as a focal point between procurement, warehouse, and operation to ensure daily transactions efficiency.
  • Understand tracks, forecast the key cost drivers, and market factors for assigned commodities
  • Coordinate with restaurants managers/Operation on monthly forecast plan.

Education and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, economics, supply chain or similar field
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar field
  • Proficiency in MS Office , F&B Oracle system
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics- non-Food & Beverage system
