Events Executive

PURPOSE

Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Events or any assigned Manager, the Events Executive handles all aspects of negotiation and coordination process of catering events. He/she executes and supports all catering sales-related activities as well as maximizing revenue opportunities in his/her specific area of responsibility, thereby contributing to the overall catering revenue.

Prospect and sell individual accounts on behalf of the hotel in accordance with the objectives established in the Marketing Plan. Ensure that quotas are met and sales activities and bookings are focused to yield maximum revenue per available room.


SCOPE

As Events Executive, you will maximize revenue opportunities in the areas of group reservations, conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions.

The Events Executive will interact frequently with guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business.


DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

·Aggressively pursue and evaluate, solicit, sell and confirm business as required to meet individual goals and overall budgeted sales and profitability.

·Ability to make telephone and personal sales calls on accounts. Follow up promptly with appropriate action to support telephone and personal sales calls.

·Solicit and service Travel Agent, Wholesale, Tour Operator, Negotiated, Worldwide Corporate and Transient accounts.

·Negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs.

·Understand and use the various sales tools the company provides and to follow and support all Palazzo Versace MOS.

·Demonstrate the energy and commitment to meet and exceed personal goals.

·Ability to sell all hotel products and services.

·Demonstrate thorough product knowledge when communicating with customers.

·Maintain and utilize a thorough knowledge of the competition.

·Conduct facility tours.

·Participate in sales meetings and industry related organizations to represent the hotel and company.

·Maintain an effective plan of correspondence.

·Follow-up on progress of booked business and key account performance.

·Follow-up on confirmed events, to detail group bookings and to maintain documented organization

·Produce BEOs, Group Resumes and Rooming Lists.

·Fully complies with Opera Sales and Catering operation standards and maintains up-to-date account profile, catering revenue figures and sales activities in the system.

·Ensure that the events related inquiries and requests are replied to within the required guidelines set by the system.

·Maintains a cohesive working relationship with Sales & Marketing team, F&B and other operating departments of the hotel.

·Completes specific tasks or reports as assigned by the Director of Events.

·Attends internal or external business meetings as required.

·Can be relied upon to complete tasks given

·Follow-up on all leads, maintain a good relationship and generate Revenue.

·The ability to tailor make proposals to meet clients’ needs as well as recommend alternate solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS

·Events Executive with minimum 2-3 years working experience and clear understanding of respective markets

·Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the required language(s).

·Good personal & business references.
