Engineering and Maintenance Manager

What will I be doing?

• Providing a high level of property maintenance knowledge
• Position has overall responsibility for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection
• Accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation
• Developing and implementing strategies that will deliver products and services, which meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and employees while maximizing the financial performance
• Responsible for maintaining standards and regulatory requirements
• Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues
• Establish and deliver an effective planned preventative maintenance programme (PPM)
• Prepare and be responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained
• Coordinate and monitor contractors and suppliers to ensure that services and goods delivered in line with the hotel’s policies.

We would love to hear from you if you have.....

• A minimum of 4 years Engineering Management experience in Hotel or building maintenance
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation
• Proven planning and project management skills
• Experience in managing a team to successfully achieve the hotel’s goals
• Sound technical knowledge on air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical aspects.
