Director of Purchasing

Director of Purchasing – 5* Luxury Hotel – Papua New Guinea

A brand-new role for a Director of Purchasing with a leading 5* luxury hotel brand.

This role is a great opportunity for a strong Purchasing Manager or Assistant Director of Purchasing ready for the next step into a director role.

• As Purchasing Director, you will ensure that the department works closely with the Chef and the Food & Beverage Director to purchase the highest quality products
• Coordinate and participate as necessary in all month-end, quarterly or annual inventories of food, beverage, operating equipment, and supplies
• We are looking for someone with experience in large operation and using materials control
• Is organized and ability to manage inventory – tracking and placing orders
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Community Managers, senior management, and trade partners
• Constantly keep abreast of new products, services and processes and consult with hotel management on feasibility of implementation
• An understanding of contracts and contracts negotiations and ability to create purchasing and procurement policies
• Must be from a 4* or 5* hotel background

Salary Package: $30-36,000 p/a plus full expat benefits
