About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Director of Rooms to join Jumeirah Al Qasr and Dar Al Masyaf Hotel

Your main duties will include:

• Ensures that the highest quality service is delivered at all times and manages his/her department in an effective manner
• Member of the Executive Committee
• Ensures high satisfaction of both guests and staff
• Maintains and protects the privacy of in-house guests in respective hotel whilst ensuring the security as well
• Has a full and comprehensive knowledge of the Hotel, including all departments, services and outlets
• Shows loyalty toward the hotel and Jumeirah and takes ownership of the entire Front office operations
• Employs discipline as required utilizing consistency, fairness and respect within the framework of established guidelines
• Maintains a high level of communication and feedback within the department
• Conducts effective and timely staff performance appraisals
• Ensuring that a high level of communication is maintained during Briefings/Trainings at all times in cascading Departmental Objectives, Vision, Mission Statement, Quality Policy and quality awareness, Hallmarks and the Guiding Principles of the company
• Supports and assists Hotel Manager and General Manager
• Prepares Manning requirements in accordance with the Manning Budget
• Meets and escorts top VIPs on arrival and departure and builds a rapport with the in-house guests in the hotel and maintains interaction in order to facilitate guest recognition and obtain information regarding their preferences

About you: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Hospitality
• At least 2 years Director of Rooms experience or similar in a 5 star hotel with a minimum of 200 rooms.
• Housekeeping experience
• Multilingual preferred
