Seeking Chef Manager to oversee production kitchen supporting retail operations on campus. This position will report to Retail Operations Director while working with a team of 8 retail managers. Chef Manager's responsibility will be ordering, receiving, production, quality control and staffing to ensure that retail outlets are provided with adequate inventory to operate seamlessly. This position will also be the DRIVE champion implementing DRIVE End to End for all retail locations on campus maintaining DRIVE menu, purchasing and inventory process.

Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, a city located near the geographic center of the state, bordered by the eastern edge of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

The successful candidate will:

  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
