Catering Sales Manager

Position: Catering Sales Manager (Full time)
Property / Office: Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities:

Manage Commercial / Business Development

  • Achieve and exceed revenue and other set KPI targets in External event sale and VIP Weddings by developing and upselling to the existing accounts and securing new accounts in line with the sales strategy across all revenue segments to contribute to the success of EPC in delivering commercially-viable events.
  • Actively identify and convert leads, develop pro-active, efficient and motivated sales force, continuously research market trends along with competitor activity, consistently grow client database by pro-active relationship management and research on new opportunities and partnerships, recommend and implement sales strategy to remain ahead of competition for the retention and growth of the market share.
  • Take the lead in developing sales strategy and marketing EPC external events to build awareness and position them in the market as the prime choice for both private and corporate events.

Operations Management

  • Cascading event details on time to respective delivery departments to meet clients’ expectations.
  • Provide direct input to the budgeting process based on the past achievements and current market trends in order to build realistic and challenging budgets based on continuous growth and corporate strategy.

Governance and Process Management

  • Consolidate event feedback, ensure action if required and keep the record for future events.
  • Remain responsible for the financial closure of the events for speedy invoicing and keep outstanding payments to minimum levels to avoid bad debts.
  • Ensure all Audit requirements are met and adhered to always to ensure compliance.

Organizational Management

  • Ensure self and team adhere to company policies and procedures and business ethic codes to reflect company values and image.
  • Operate within established level of administrative responsibility with regards to sales to ensure efficiency and compliance, including preparation of reports and delivery of any projects assigned by the Line Manager.
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending best practices and ideas to the best interest of the company.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree from reputable Institution or diploma in Sales.
  • University Degree required. MBA is a preference.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Sales/Customer Service senior role, preferably in Hospitality or Event Management industry in the Middle East.
  • Superior sales and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent written/spoken English, good knowledge of Arabic preferred.
  • Valid UAE driving license and own vehicle is an advantage
