Business Development Manager- Corporate Sales

Handling both Proactive and Reactive Sales for Corporate Events, MICE




The Business Development Manager is responsible for sourcing, developing and account managing business from the outlined Corporate, Government and MICE for Palazzo Versace Dubai with a focus on high value partners and with the aim the hotel revenue and market share.to generate and maximize
KPIs measurement will be based on creativity, innovation, performance and generated revenue versus the current actual hotel market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage local Corporate, Government, Ministries, Luxury Consortia and Global Accounts
Handling RFPs and enrolling PVD into preferred hotel list of major corporate accounts.
Implement and execute all sales objective and action plans to the reach and exceed targets set while meeting customer needs
Establish parameters, quotes and negotiated prices with clients for transient and group business.
Promote and produce sales leads for the hotel within its respective areas
Provide feedback on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail in its market areas
The Business Development Manager must maximize yield in alignment with the strategic goals of the sales department and the objectives of Palazzo Versace Dubai. He/She will have a proactive approach to sales, anticipating potential opportunities and developing new opportunities.
Manage and take all necessary actions to maximize GOP in the assigned portfolio
Drive business and strategize with Local Corporate, Government and MICE companies.
Strategize the business plan on the insight and behaviors of the portfolio by each segment source.
Executing initiatives to mitigate the need and maximize business over the demand periods
Handle client inquiries in timely frame manner about property facilities / services (e.g. room rates and room types, packages, promotions, vouchers, restaurants etc)
Address clients’ requests to maximize client satisfaction while observing the hotel’s policies where appropriate
Solicit new potential accounts in designated accounts
Interact with clients in regards to corporate, MICE offers and flash sales
Entertainment of clients when and where possible to establish strong relationships to ensure repeat business
Increase in overall hotel business conversion percentage
Handle Corporate, Government and MICE leads whenever required
Create and manage company profiles in the PMS Opera System, DELPHI System
Organize entertainments, site visits to showcase the property.
File and retrieve documents and reference materials in the shared drive
Conduct rate research and collect data on direct competitors prior to rate campaigns
Maintain adequate communication with other departments in the hotel so that the needs of clients can be anticipated and met in an organized manner

Strive to improve service performance
Create emotion, surprise, and pleasure for each of PVD guests through attention to detail and a passion for excellence
Treat guests and ambassadors from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency
Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws and other legal regulations
Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times
Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
Perform any additional duties assigned by the Director of Sales
