Bartender

We are looking for Bartender to join our award winning team. The Bartender will be expected to control and manage their section in the restaurant, and react promptly to any issues or complaints in accordance with company guidelines. They must ensure that excellent quality and a ‘go beyond’ service is delivered to all guests.

• Will ‘Go Beyond’ the ordinary for guests, colleagues and the M1 team - to give more than is expected
• Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or reputation of the hotel is involved
• Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, uniform and body language in order to add a sense of style
• Demonstrates an enthusiastic attitude and works as part of the Media One Team; even when there are additional duties
• Provides a personalised service to all guests at Media One Hotel
• Encourages positive feedback through GSS and online reviews
• Committed to maintaining a safe working environment for guests, enthusiasts and suppliers, by understanding fire safety and emergency procedures
• Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the UAE law
• Respects all individuals, fellow enthusiasts and guests alike
• Creates a fun working environment to build a positive morale and team spirit

Role Key Objectives

• Giving every guest in the venue full attention, reception and best possible care
• With a friendly and courteous attitude, he/she supports and maintains the good reputation of the hotel
• Executes all bar mise-en-place duties and responsibilities as directed on time, according to the outlet standards
• Engages in beverage preparation and service delivery as per the outlet standards and sequence
• Has thorough knowledge of the drink list and wine list and is able to respond to guest inquiries
• Ensures that guest expectation are met or exceeded by providing an efficient, friendly and attentive service
• Takes food orders for bar guests and in the absence of the waiter/ waitress
• Follows the opening procedures to ensure a smooth operation
• Closes the bar according to the closing checklist, ensuring a high level of cleanliness in line with standards
• Maximizes revenue in the outlet by implementing up-selling procedures
• Maintains beverage par stocks and places order accordingly
• Helps maintain standards of cleanliness
• Follows the standards for Micros operation & cash handling
• Comply with all beverage regulations and hotel policy on responsible beverage service
