Job Brief

As an Assistant Spa Manager, you are responsible for managing the spa team and carrying out treatments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting the Spa Manager in the management and growth of the team on all levels.
  • Manage and carry out procedures, have current knowledge of treatments, and ensure all treatments comply with current legislation and company standards.
  • Manage training of the team members within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of services are maintained as stated in the Departmental SOP's.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager implementing core values.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager motivating the team and creating a stimulating and effective work climate.
  • Responsible for scheduling, monitoring employee performance, and disciplining of all team members who report to him/her.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager giving guidelines, direction and monitoring for the quality, development and effectiveness of all services offered at the Spa de Constance at Constance Ephelia Resort.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager tracking and developing statistical reporting.
  • Drive Revenues in the Spa by setting and monitoring targets for team members.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager monitor operating supply funds for the Spa Department and generate necessary purchase requisitions.
  • Actively contributing in and directing all job-related meetings as necessary.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager monitoring the housekeeping standards and mechanical effectiveness of all facilities, report deficiencies as they occur and follow-up.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager monitor all facility and service standards and keeping him/her aware of any operational opportunities.
  • Maintaining a safe and hazard free environment for all team members and promote safety awareness at all times.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager review all suggestions and comments from team members guests and make necessary adjustments.
  • Assisting the Spa Manager keeping accurate and up-to-date records and statistics on the spa employees.
  • Responsible for assisting the Spa Manager in holding regular departmental meetings and communication within the department.
  • Keeping the Spa Manager informed about the department, all employees' performance, and guests concerns and comments.
  • Convey clear instructions and guidance to team members and establishing working relationships that attain a high level of effective employee morale.
  • Respond properly in any resort emergency or safety situation.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma from a recognized institute in various massages, body and beauty treatments.
  • A management course qualification in Management of team and customer care will be a definite advantage.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the beauty industry .Be able to perform the full range of therapies.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as Assistant Section Heal level in 5* resort environment.
  • A background in anatomy, physiology and massage therapy knowledge of holistic treatments and a genuine interest in the well-being of others.
  • Be fully conversant with all health and safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Have excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • He or She will be highly motivated, have a passion for providing a luxury experience for all our guests, be solution oriented and be able to inspire creativity at all levels.
  • Have excellent communication, leadership, and financial skills.
