Assistant Social Media & e-Commerce Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
  • With the guidance of the Social Media & E-Commerce Manager or Director of Marketing Communications, design and implement the hotel’s social media and e-commerce strategy with KPIs
  • Proactively plan creative, compelling and targeted social media and e-commerce activity and campaigns under the supervision of the Social Media & E-Commerce Manager
  • Stay informed of upcoming trends and developments within the field of social media and e-commerce
  • Research and develop new ways to leverage social content to improve performances
  • Setting KPIs and using analytics (including Google Analytics, email marketing tracking etc) to regularly measure, evaluate and optimize all digital communications activity
  • Conduct competitive analysis studies on digital marketing trends and competitors review
  • Oversee and update the hotel’s website, including copywriting and editing, with liaison with MOHG e-commerce team and copywriter
  • Prepare and implement the annual social media & e-commerce plan in accordance to brand standards
  • Draft and post daily feed for the hotel’s social media channels as per brand guidelines under the supervision of the Social Media & E-Commerce Manager or Director of Marketing Communications
  • Plan and execute social media influencer campaigns; working closely with local and/or international influencers / KOLs
  • Create and execute social media campaigns that will generate leads, drive quality traffic and fans/follower’s engagement
  • Coordinate with the appointed social media agencies to ensure that the management of the social media accounts is in line with the expectation
  • Assist the MOHG regional performance marketing manager with the digital marketing execution under the supervision of the Social Media & E-Commerce Manager
  • Community and crisis management on multiple social media accounts
  • Manage multiple social media accounts using the social media manager application
  • Ensure up-to-date hotel information and photos are reflected on all key online travel agent platforms i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, and TripAdvisor
  • Prepare monthly reports on social media and e-commerce with the ability to study and analyse figures to improve future campaign performance
  • Work closely with various departments to produce quality content for social media
  • Writing, commissioning and editing materials for a range of key hotel’s audiences for use across all digital communication channels
  • Plan, organize and oversee all social media photography / videography sessions
  • Assist with community relations events as and when directed by the Social Media & E-Commerce Manager or Director of Marketing Communications

Key competencies and background

  • Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in social media and digital marketing is required
  • Creative and ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Arabic speaker preferred but not essential
