Job Summary

Assisting guest requirements, suggesting options and following up with the guest requests. Displaying merchandise and pricing them, maintaining neat and proper work place and shop display. Maintaining excellent stock arrangement and keep track of inventory. Responsible for daily reports and any other reports related to retail.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting all guests/staff with their shopping needs and ensuring prompt and consistent level of customer service throughout.
  • Responsible for receiving and an excellent displaying of all new merchandise in retail.
  • Responsible for keeping track of total inventory and informing Retail Manager/Supervisor as and when stock level is low and requires replenishment.
  • Responsible for assisting Retail Manager/Supervisor change visual merchandise on a regular basis and maintaining it as per guideline.
  • Responsible for maintaining a pleasant and neat working environment at all times and coordinating with Housekeeping for all cleaning matters.
  • Prepares and submit daily sales/consignment report to Retail Manager at day end.
  • Prepares and submit monthly sales/consignment reports to Retail Manager at the end of month.
  • Responsible for price tagging and displaying items on arrival and consistently replenish selling stock in the shop when sold.
  • Responsible for monthly inventory audit and reporting any discrepancy to Retail Manager/Supervisor immediately.
  • Responsible for opening and closing of Boutique.
  • Responsible to upsell and offer various options for the guest to choose.
  • Responsible for assisting Retail Manager/Supervisor in making Purchase Requests and other purchases required for the department.
  • Attends and participates in team events.
  • Participates in required training related to the job.
  • To effective communicate and maintain a favorable working relationship with colleges at all levels.
  • Assure professional attitude towards guest and colleges at all times.
  • To be conscious and responsible regarding energy and water conservation.
  • Reports incidents of breakages, equipment repair and maintenance to Department Head.
  • Maintains highest levels of personal hygiene at all times.
  • To ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all work areas.
  • To be fully aware about all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.
  • Responsible to report any potential hazardous situations within the work place.
  • To keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Maintains a high standard of appearance and grooming at all times, as per One&Only standard.
  • Apply and adhere to rules and regulations as per employee handbook, departmental and resort policies and procedures, including those for the emergency situations
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the overall organization’s mission, vision and values.
  • At all times to project a favorable image of One&Only Reethi Rah and One&Only Resorts to the guests and public.
  • Handles any guest’s complaint in a professional manner, as per resort’s Policy & Procedure (service recovery).
  • Practices proper telephone etiquette with colleagues and resort’s guests.
  • Ensures all activities are carried out honestly, ethically and within the parameters of the Maldivian Law.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Good communication skills and Teamwork.
  • Flexible and Positive attitude.
  • Confident in interacting with the customers.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Good sales person
