Assistant Manager, Sales

Job Summary:

As Assistant Manager, Sales and under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Sales personnel; you are responsible to source, solicit, negotiate, and handle all accounts within the assigned portfolio.


Core work activities:


  • Meet the sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Ensure comprehensive and complete coverage of own portfolio covering all levels of accounts’ managerial and departmental executives for a comprehensive client servicing, achieving targets and maximum productivity in her / his portfolio of accounts
  • Generate and maintain customers of defined accounts / areas through sales activities (face to face sales calls, telephone calls, entertainment)
  • Ensure that the response to any business request is actioned within 8 working hours in order to avoid customer complains
  • Provide feedback to the Area Director of Sales / Cluster Director of Sales / Cluster Assistant Director of Sales on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition in order to understand better market trends and change possible selling strategies
  • Conduct and organize site inspection, entertainments in on order to create awareness of our products for the clients
  • Attend major events in hotel & city as requested by Department Head in order to promote Yas Plaza Hotels during all major events
  • Maintain an up-to-date account & contact database, opera activities and special client needs in order to understand better the requirements of the clients
  • Display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to Guests and colleagues in order to avoid internal or external complains
  • Closely monitor accounts revenue and business production to maximize up selling opportunities, to review direct competition and conduct regular research
  • Handle and assist with reports, presentations, additional tasks in line with the office demand
  • Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment
  • Comply with the hotel environmental, health and safety policies and procedures


Skills, experience and educational requirements

  • Preferably a degree/diploma with specialized in or graduated from a university
  • 2-3 years of experience in similar field
  • Strong administrative Skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate (MS office) with effective and good communication skills, both verbal and written.
