ASSISTANT SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER – DUBAI!

We are urgently looking for an Assistant Supply Chain Manager.
Salary Package Offered: AED25K – 29K (Base plus allowances), plus additional benefits medical and life insurance, airfare allowance, bonus, and pension investment funds.
This job role will involve managing the assigned Equipment, Packaging, Distribution, and cross border exports / imports, to ensure lowest cost and reliable (assured) supply at the right quality.
This includes the following key performance areas:
- Developing and maintaining Equipment & Packaging procurement/supply strategies and plans.
- Driving the execution of Equipment plans through formal category management and strategic sourcing methods. Develop alternative and local equipment and BOH components to lower overall build costs
- Benchmarking suppliers / categories, on an ongoing basis, to ensure optimal cost and performance.
- Manage distribution to assure supply, align strategies for explosive growth at the optimal cost. Ensure effective internal and external stakeholder communication, involvement and buy-in, especially with franchisees, the Development team (for Development supply) & Operations team (for Equipment supply).
- Seamless management of all imports and exports with Distributor, Franchisees, and suppliers alike.
Education, Experience & Skills Required:
- Engineering or Supply Chain / Procurement / Commercial related degree.
- Technical degrees with further tertiary studies of supply chain / procurement will also be considered.
- At least 5 years SCM related experience.
- Equipment maintenance experience would be beneficial.
- Strong commercial understanding and experience in driving down cost and identifying cost saving opportunities, with a track record of delivering total cost savings
- Analytical, numerate, able to develop models and solve problems.
- Holds excellent negotiating skills and experience.
- Demonstrates good communication, persuasion and change management skills (including obtaining buy in.)
- Good facilitation and presentation skills
- Experience in strategic sourcing and purchase category management, including understanding supplier or product cost drivers and other factors that influence pricing.
- Experience in managing food and packaging categories would be preferable.
- Ideally has experience in formal project management
