  • Demonstrates a high degree of culture and service standards awareness, and acts as a role model to fellow colleagues.
  • Drives processes, lead & guide colleagues to achieve their tasks.
  • Provides support to the Director of Housekeeping in all areas of housekeeping operation, such as staff training, coaching, counselling and enforces Velaa’s standards operating procedures.
  • Responsible for the overall operations of housekeeping department and ensure the service meets Velaa, LQA and Forbes standards.
  • Maintains clear, efficient communication and coordination with other departments of the hotel.


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar managerial role, at a five-star property in Maldives will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, under pressure and long hours.
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English.
  • Must be a detailed and goal-oriented personality.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills & confident to anticipate and manage processes.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge in computing and office software, and must be familiar with Opera PMS, Micros-Fidelio Materials Control and HR Fusion software.
  • Flexible with duty hours & scope, and a team player.
