Job Brief

The Assistant Bar Manager assists the Beverage Manager in all his duties and responsibilities and is called to replace him/her as the head of bar whenever he/she is absent.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting in ensuring that the beverage sales forecasted for bars, lounges and restaurants are meet and exceeded
  • Strives to meet the target cost of sales for the operation as determined by the Resort budgets.
  • Ensures that all Hotel beverage service standards and sequences of service are being followed and adhered to by the team members.
  • Monitors and adjusts the schedules for the team members, in close coordination with the Bar Manager, in order to meet demand and guest service.
  • Participates in planning and managing the continuous training of all the team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed.
  • Make sure that all material and equipment made available to the Bar is correctly used.
  • Ensure the bar stores clean and free of expiries
  • According to AF&BM/ Beverage Manager Instructions, implement the appropriate means to improve costs, personnel, expenses and charges.
  • Ensure good coordination between bar and the kitchen; knowledge of the menu, suggestions, missing dishes, etc.

Candidate REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate or Diploma in F& B Service Operations
  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar role in 5* resort environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and direct a large multinational and/or multicultural team members is required
  • Experience in Island is desirable
  • Have excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • He or She will be highly motivated, have a passion for providing a luxury experience for all our guests, be solution oriented and be able to inspire creativity at all levels.
  • Previous food and beverage experience at a leadership level is essential.
  • Have excellent communication, leadership, and financial skills
