Job Description

The Commis I as ambassador of Sofitel Dubai Downtown is required to actively promote the quality image of the company and the hotel at every opportunity.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:             

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Ambassadors
  • Prepare and serve all food items for a la carte and / or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
  • Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions in daily shift briefings
  • Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
  • Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking to appoint a Commis 1 Pastry Chef for the stunning 5* Sofitel Dubai Downtown who thrives in a high pressured and rewarding team environment and is looking for a career with a hospitality leader.

Due to role requirements, the candidate must have:

  • Previous experience in a Pastry production
  • Attention to details and the ability to produce high quality and accurate work
  • Ability to work under pressure
