Job Summary




The Director of Pre-opening Revenue Management is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the revenue management pre-opening critical path for all opening hotels. This role will support all brands and new brand acquisitions located across the Middle East & Africa Region. He/ she will take the revenue leader role prior to the hotel being available for sale in MARSHA, Marriott.com and other pricing engines through turnover to an on-going revenue management team. This includes on property training as well as remote webinar training. These hotels may also include complex group strategies and have total hotel revenue management in place, including catering and function space revenue maximization.



The position is the primary contact for pre-opening hotels' resource and information needs. The position reports to the VP of Revenue Management for MEA and requires extensive collaboration with the Area Directors of Revenue Management as well as the Directors of pre-opening for Sales and Marketing and the pre-opening property team.



Strong relationship management, strategic planning, negotiation, communication and analytical skills are a pre-requisite. Success is predicated on the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Brand, Revenue, Operations and other business units.

Qualifications

Education and experience
  • 3+ years managerial experience years in revenue with particular knowledge of on-property, multi-property or cluster
  • Prior experience in the field of revenue management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders
  • Hotel property experience, hotel revenue experience or related preferred
  • International working experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Team player that works well with counterparts from various functions/departments
  • Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity and change
