The Director of Talent Acquisition specializes in Talent Acquisition (recruitment, selection processes and executive recruitment support, recruitment drives overseas, hotel school presentations, recruitment advertising etc). Acts as the continent Talent Acquisition lead in support of DHR questions and concerns from the field and manages the Continent Vacancies for all General Management positions and pre-opening Excom roles. Determines priorities', schedules, plans and necessary resources to promote completion of any projects on schedule. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes. Provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects.

In partnership with the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and Area DHR/s, drive staffing and workforce planning efforts for top talent. Work with DHR's as appropriate to:
o Perform sourcing and posting of vacancies for properties at pre-opening stage until dedicated HR leader is appointed; to include posting, screening applicants, interviews of non-management and management positions, applicant response, reference checks, and supporting the hiring process administration for MEACO as required.
o Assist in the evaluation of existing talent acquisition processes, tools and programs. Review talent acquisition metrics, quantitative and qualitative data points to spot trends and identify opportunity areas.
o Prepare communications to the field on talent acquisition initiatives for the continent. Track and coordinate key projects and priorities including key deliverables, responsibilities and due dates, such as Talent Community Crew (TCC), Recruitment Trips, etc.
o Ensure that management candidates are identified for opening hotels and drive volume of non-management candidates for these.
o Support hourly employee recruiting efforts by ensuring the appropriate education, training and/or tools are provided to properties in a timely and efficient manner
o Manage all online Recruitment forums such as CV Database, Facebook, Linked In, etc.
o Audit and manage the Global Recruiting System (GRS) - ensure that the field and continent leaders know of any user tips to aid in better utilization of all aspects of system, including assisting with property training, analysis of usage and applicant response. Where required, partners with HR Systems to ensure correct usage is made of the Global Recruitment System, drive continuous process improvement in all aspects of the management and non-management recruitment process.
o Review trends in Continent for 'hard to fill' positions and develop a strategy to create 'bank' of future candidates to include head-hunting as required.
o Share the Continent Vacancies and promote Internal Movement Opportunities.
o Review Quality of Hire survey results and share trends with the field and continent leaders.
o Deliver presentations on Talent Acquisition strategy to hotel leadership teams as required.

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; 4 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area. or
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Certification (or equivalent) preferred or willing to study towards
  • Experience in MEA preferred.
