Jumeirah Al Naseem will have 430 luxurious rooms and suites, complete with walk-in rain showers, floor-to-ceiling windows and private outdoor terraces. The hotel is set among lush, landscaped gardens and offers three large swimming pools, as well as private beach access. Two banqueting rooms, each measuring 75 square metres, will complement the existing conference and events facilities at Madinat Jumeirah.





About the role

An exciting role has arisen in the Housekeeping department at Jumeirah Al Naseem for a highly motivated and hardworking individual. The main purpose of this position is to work on a rotation basis with the housekeeping, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction and adhering to the standards required by the hotel.

Your main duties will include:

  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times.

  • Provide a courteous, professional service and hygiene at all time.

  • Ensure all sewing machines and other equipment are in good working condition.

  • Inspect all machines and report any repair requirements.

  • Ensure that we have adequate sewing supplies like buttons, threads, zippers etc.

  • Repair and maintain hotel linen and colleagues uniforms are in good condition.

  • To prepare dusters and cleaning cloths for operational departments with the discarded linen.

  • Attend to guest request - stitching of buttons, repair of zips and alteration etc.

  • Log all discarded in the appropriate log book.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the working area.

  • To know the hotels policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.

  • Participates in the multi-skilling philosophy of the department.

  • Should be able to maintain all uniforms and linen in good condition by doing the necessary repair works.

  • Should be able to do repair/alteration works on guest garments.

About you

In order to be considered for this role you must have at least 2 year experience as Tailor in a 5 star hotel and be able to use correct operating procedure of sewing machine in the laundry. Experience in factory is an added advantage. You must be least high school graduate and Tailor certificate holder. Be able to communicate English effectively.
