The InterContinental
Hotels Group (IHG®)

hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior
upscale Crowne Plaza and the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence

At the
moment we're looking for a Network
Administrator, IT
to join our energetic, enthusiastic and passionate team
at InterContinental Hotels Dubai Festival City.


Reporting to IT Support Manager, the Network
 will enable Hotel users to access networked
resources (email, file, printer and web) as well as control access and
privileges to PMS/POS/BOF applications - based on the IHG and
local policies and procedures. The Network Administrator monitors, conducting
formal audits and reports on user utilization of shared resources, as well
as manages these resources within the requirements of the policies and SLAs. It
also involves taking administrative processes as well as monitor, assign and
manage the logged calls in the Help desk (QEMS) and also perform system
maintenance as scheduled daily task list. The right candidate will also be able
to manage his time effectively to meet the requirements of the Department and
the Hotel.  

Key Responsibilities

Main Duties / Responsibilities include but not limited to:

•         Ensure
maximum (and continuous) up time of all IT network infrastructure, systems,
and applications. 

•         Ensure
the effective integration of diverse technical components at property

•         Ensure
appropriate participation in the project management lifecycle where

•         Ensure
optimum levels of Guest/Admin as per the agreed SLA.

•         Ensure
the provision of all users' email passwords and rights. 

•         Ensure
the provision of all users' file directory access & permissions. 

•         Ensure
the provision of all users’ access passwords, rights and permissions to
privileged applications.

•         Ensure
all procedures & policies relating to the provision of networks,
email, file directory and web access passwords and/or rights and/or permissions
at unit are enforced. 

•         Ensuring
the departmental electronic storage is optimally configured and maintained
according to relevant policies. 

•         Ensure
the provision of all users' web access passwords, rights and

•         Ensuring
relevant monitoring (including audits) are conducted and reported.

•         Systems
maintenance process. 

•         Continuous
improvement process. 

•         Appropriate
technical reporting. 

•         Ensure
that service delivery is in accordance with the Hotel SLA. 

•         Ensure
that the escalation procedures are followed in accordance with the
Hotel SLA. 

•         Maintaining
and enforcing standards. 

•         Deliver
standards as set out in Service Level Agreement(s) and procedures. 

•         Ensure
that all new installations and/or system changes are done according to
approved standards and configurations. 

•         Interact
with computer users and Hotel Guest for technical support
when required or as logged on the Help desk

and Experience

Ideally, you'll have some or
all of the following qualifications and experience we're looking for:

  •          Matric
  •         CCNA
    Routing and switching
  •          MCITP:
    Enterprise Administration. 
  •          LAN/WAN
  •          Wireless
    network experience 
  •          Network
    Performance Tuning
  •          Network
    Design and Implementation
  •          At least 2 years’ experience in systems
    support administration and supervisory role.
  •          Helpdesk
