Within the midst of this incredible and fast emerging destination, towering 225 metres high in the exclusive area of West Bay stands a new dimension in luxury,InterContinental Doha The City; an icon of modern architecture had opened the doors for the guests on 19 February 2012 and had set the standard in modern upscale accommodation for business and leisure travellers. (176 residence, 360 rooms, 7 F&B outlets, one Events Centre).

The Director of Human Resources & Learning is an integral member of the hotel management team. The person will lead and drive the HR function in the hotel by following brand standards and managing employee engagement activities to support IHG vision and hotel business goals.


This means leading strategically and tactically in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment, HRIS, communications, colleague relations, learning and development, talent/succession planning,  and compensation/benefits


On top of these, you will manage an effective, business aligned, legally compliant HR activities including resourcing, talent management, colleague communications, and compensation; champion IHG values, promoting a working environment that reflects IHG Winning Ways and IHG promise; develop and implement HR initiatives & policies to enhance overall organization effectiveness and developing and implementing a resourcing strategy to attract and retain talent.


You will drive colleague engagement initiatives; plan and lead learning and development to support Room to grow for all colleagues and the quality of service in the hotel; and promote fairness among colleagues.


The successful applicant will have a minimum of four (4) years experience in a similar leadership role in a hotel environment.  Ideally, you should have a University degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, or an equivalent combination of education and 8+ years' progressive work-related experience in Human Resource operations.  Candidates must have drive for results, analytical thinking and flexibility in time.
