Head Chef - Bermuda
Yellowfin Ltd, an independently owned group comprised of 5 diverse restaurants in Bermuda, seeks a confident, motivated and forward thinking individual to become a leading member of our company. Our modern restaurants boast fresh, eclectic cuisine with both contemporary dishes and traditional favourites.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with working independently and leading a team by example, whilst working efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a high standard. The Head Chef will possess strong business acumen in order to achieve the required costs via proficient use of ordering, menu costing and scheduling. As Head Chef you will have full autonomy of the site kitchen, with the support of the Executive Chef.
The Head Chef must be passionate about food and the industry, with a strong working knowledge of current food trends, global cuisine and seasonality. We are renowned for our seasonal daily specials; candidates must therefore posses a strong creative flair in order to maintain the interest of our loyal repeat client base.
Applicants must have excellent spoken and written English, and should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
The model candidate must be accustomed to thinking and working independently, but also expect detailed communications with a hands-on owner in order to sustain existing standards. This could be an exciting opportunity for a strong Sous seeking a new challenge.
