Job Summary

The Regional Training Chef Is responsible for continuously enhancing operating process and systems, teaching and coaching food standards to both Corporate and Overseas restaurant-level and Head Chefs. Provides support to the organization with Back of House (BOH) training programs. 

Reports to

Primary - Training & Development manager

Secondary – Group Executive Chef

Supervises

Primary: Staff Development

Secondary: Trainers

Experience and Qualifications

  • Tertiary education or equivalent
  • Operations and Human Resource Management experience a plus
  • Minimum 5 years experience as Chef De Partie and above
  • Chinese speaking in order to liaise with the associates

Personality and Competencies/Skills

  • Excited about developing outstanding culinary processes for both Brotzeit employee and Franchisees
  • Possess basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Able to think effectively and manage resources efficiently, to achieve optimal productivity
  • Demonstrated self-starter – Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an extremely high level of patience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and willing to work on projects on short notices
  • Ability to plan and schedule training events, people, places and supplies

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the coordination and delivery of training team communications and initiatives to the operations team
  • Develop BOH Training and Culinary Manuals, continually identifying GAPs and enhance and maintains archive materials
  • Assist in training materials rollouts to the restaurants and participation in special training project teams
  • Able to travel on short notice to tackle challenges and implementing important initiatives
  • Open to a short secondment in overseas market, to assist in critical operational gaps, implementing processes and developing internal capabilities
  • Supports training and operations teams in their implementation of training materials in each restaurant BOH
  • Assist in content management within E- Training Portal, monitor training teams and training schedules for both local and International restaurants
  • Has the ability to work independently, coordinating arrangements for new restaurant openings and able to work under strict deadlines with a great deal of flexibility
  • Conducts and tracks Quality Assurance assessments, conducting audits (both local and overseas) monitors integrity of food quality and implements training programmes to address
  • Sponsors, leads and/or participates in special projects to identify improvements in BOH areasWorks closely with Training Department to develop training, retention and team building programmes.
