About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Duty Manager to join the Front Office team at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The Duty Manager will ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Front Office by providing all guests with efficient services and ensuring that their expectations are constantly met and exceeded.

The Duty Manager’s main duties will include:

  • To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the hotel operation especially the front office department
  • To handle and resolve guest complaints

  • To assist the Assistant Front Office Manager and the Front Office Manager in supervising the Front Office Departments operation and communication

  • To assist in maintaining and / or develop agreed standards consistently within the Front Office department

  • To assist in maintaining and / or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure that front office colleagues adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals

  • To set high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to the Management and interdepartmental co-operation

  • The MOD keeps very close relations with all VIP guests in- and out of house and responds accordingly to all their needs and demands.

  • Covering the  Night Manger during his vacation and days off  and when required.
About You

In order to be considered for this role, you will have gained a qualification from a recognized Hotel or Business school and you should have a minimum of two years international experience in a similar role in a five star luxury hotel.

It is paramount that you work well in a team but are also able to set standards and lead by example at all times.  You must be comfortable working under pressure and must be passionate about providing service to our guests of the highest standard.

It is also essential that you have excellent command of the English language (spoken and written) and proficiency in a second foreign language such as Arabic will be an advantage.
