About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Manager to join the Front Office team at Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The Night Manager will ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Front Office by providing all guests with efficient services and ensuring that their expectations are constantly met and exceeded.

The Night Manager's main duties will include:

  • Set a high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, courtesy, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to Management and interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Assist in maintaining and/or developing agreed standards consistently within the Front Office department.
  • Assist in maintaining and/or developing agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure all Front Office employees adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient running of the Hotel night operation, ensuring that all hotel guests and visitors receive and optimum level of service and care at all times.
  • Use discretion and tact when dealing with guest enquiries, problems or complaints in an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the Hotel and/or its reputation.
  • Prepare the Front Office Night audit reports and statistics and distribute to the different Hotel departments as required.
  • Prepare the Night Manager's statistical report, including the competitor Hotel room occupancy / revenue statistics.
  • Ensure that any major incident or new information are logged-in the Duty Manager log book.
  • Directly supervise the Front Office night operation and staff.
  • Directly supervise the Night Auditing progress.
  • Supervise group arrivals and departures which take place during the shift.
  • Assist with meeting and escorting of VIP guests.
  • Ensure that the Hotel security policies are implemented and correctly adhered to at all times during the night.
  • Ensure all guest complaints are handled promptly and efficiently
  • Supervise the Front Office night audit procedures ensuring that all pre-audit checks are carried out prior to Room & Tax being posted and the Front Office PMS being handed over to the Accounts Night Audit Team on time
  • Chair the Reception briefings at the beginning and the end of the night shift
  • Assist in maintaining the operating costs and achieving maximum sales and profitability in Front Office
  • Assist guests with general enquiries about the hotel and its facilities and daily events and functions
  • Lead by example by demonstrating the Hallmarks and guiding principles in their role continuously.
  • About You

    In order to be considered for this role, you will have gained a qualification from a recognized Hotel or Business school and you should have a minimum of three years international experience in a similar role in a five star luxury hotel.

    It is paramount that you work well in a team but are also able to set standards and lead by example at all times.  You must be comfortable working under pressure and must be passionate about providing service to our guests of the highest standard.

    It is also essential that you have excellent command of the English language (spoken and written) and proficiency in a second foreign language such as Arabic will be an advantage.
