F&B &Membership Sales Manager

The F&B & Membership Sales Manager serves as the Ambassador for the Club and Food & Beverage department in terms of sales and ensures that all members and guests receive the highest level of service during his or her time at the Club. This is not only a sales position but one that requires the ability to interact with members, guests and fellow team members in a very positive, confident and friendly manner.

Hotel Overview:

Ideally situated on the Arabian Gulf in Ajman, UAE, Fairmont Ajman has opened May 2015. The hotel close proximity to both Sharjah and Dubai airports. The hotel features 252 guestrooms and suites, including two luxurious penthouse offerings, a multitude of dining options and fitness facilities. The beachfront location offers guests a wide range of leisure activities including water sports and diving as well as access to shopping and cultural excursions. Event planners can take advantage of 2,000 square meters of indoor function space as well as outdoor facilities

Summary of Responsibilities:

Primary duties :

Be the Club and Food & Beverage "Ambassador" to welcome members, prospects, and guests to the Club and outlets. Candidate should possess outstanding human relations skills, polished and professional image as well as creative communication skills, initiative and integrity. This candidate must also enjoy working with both Staff and Club members. Selling a memorable experience in an authentic location is the essence of the role at Fairmont Ajman. Your professionalism and knowledge of the Hotel will reflect positively in how you present the property. Building strong relationships will create a bond.

This position requires excellent organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to coordinate details and prioritize work on a daily and weekly basis. An excellent memory for names and faces is essential.

Specific duties and responsibilities :
  • Ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis through the solicitation of club membership/F&B outlet sales and through action plan preparation and execution.
  • Build relationship with the community to influence new visitors to the hotel and take charge of all the special occasions such as Valentines, Festive, Easter, etc in order to meet guidelines for F&B revenues and reach capacity in the outlets.
  • Establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices, confirming by written contracts. Organize all pre-payments for F&B events and establish credit facility whenever necessary.
  • Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details within the appropriate software applications
  • Work closely with Food & Beverage and Front Office to ensure all details of the contract were delivered and guests depart satisfied
  • Effectively respond to Club Members and prospective members with inquiries regarding Club Dues, Rules & Regulations in accordance with club standards.
  • Coordinate the membership application process, including the provision and prompt follow-up on all prospective and new member communications.
  • Perform New Member Orientations, either individual or in a group, including a review of the Club rules and regulations and communicating any changes to the membership of the rules and regulations.
  • Give tours of the Club & outlets as requested.
  • Coordinate and host new and prospective member/outlet mixers, appreciation nights, and open houses.
  • Supervision and management of member tracking systems; maintain confidential computerized membership files on an ongoing basis. Work with digital marketing to ensure that we establish the appropriate guest capture for F&B databases.
  • Processes annual membership renewals.
  • Develop and execute membership related portion of the Clubs annual budget and the established goals for food & beverage.
  • Conducts annual survey on membership dues.
  • Introduce potential members to club members with similar interests, background, business experience and mutual friends.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to ensure all paperwork is completed for new and resigning members as well as existing dues collections.
  • Develop appropriate collateral material and monthly newsletters to showcase the Club and F&B outlets.
  • Be a team player. It takes all of the colleagues at the Club and outlets to create the wonderful, personalized service given to each member and to maintain the quality of the facilities that all members deserve and expect.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to provide assistance to the membership/guests and the staff to provide the members/guests with the highest quality of service.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree is preferred with some club management experience or public relations background.
  • Female applicants only.
  • The ability to interact with members and guests as well as oversee all administrative functions as it relates to the member files including dues payments.
  • A very good understanding of computers and software programs including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Also a good knowledge of a Photo ID System is a plus.
  • Have a "Whatever it takes" attitude and the ability to work as a member of a Team of professional staff members.
  • Be available to work weekends and evening events.
