We are looking
for an individual who is currently in a similar job position and who is looking
to carve a career in an awards winning restaurant. The restaurant
has been awarded 2 consecutive years 2014-2015 best service excellent award by
Trip advisor. The restaurant has been leading the upscale restaurant market by
consistently being in the top 5 in Qatar. It also won best steakhouse 2013 by
Time out Award.



You must not only be a talented Chef but also a good Kitchen manager and able to run a kitchen to budget, whilst creating great food! Training and mentoring the team will also be a big part of this role.

The Restaurant is a bold, timeless meat destination that promises the finest selection of cuts consistently cooked to perfection in a warm, comfortable and memorable setting. It promotes flexible dining, where guests may choose to experience a live grill show kitchen, interactive dining area or a cosy private dining space.

As a Sous Chef, you will contribute to the smooth running of the hotel kitchen by assisting the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef in areas of profit management, stock and wastage control, food standards and training and development of the kitchen brigade.  You will prepare and present food to a high standard, maintain hygiene practices and actively develop your kitchen skills and knowledge.  As Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for managing and motivating your team.  You will be required to ensure that all staff within your department are adequately trained and developed in line with company policy.  You will also be responsible for the Recruitment and Selection of your team and for managing any Employee Relations issues with the support of the Human Resources Department.  You will actively guide and direct the whole team to ensure consistency of brand standards and a high level of performance and service delivery.

·         At least 2 years of experience in a
similar post in a specialised Steak House

·         At least 2 years of experience in a 5 star
internationally branded hotel

·         Possess the ability to quickly and
authoritatively delegate job tasks to a the staff

·         Very good planning and directing food preparation


The Ability to sort out the problems
that arise in the kitchen and seizing control of a situation at a moment's

·         Proven culinary education (preferably Apprenticeship)

·         Excellent Team player and motivator of Team member

·         Strong Coordination with Restaurant Manager & related
Department in promotions and Marketing
