Responsible for driving the successful commercial operations of the Hotel including but not limited to: Groups, Conferences and Events; Individual reservations department; and Revenue Management - ensuring that correct policies and procedures are followed within the departments; and promoting strong client relationships with high quality service and output provided by these departments. Ensuring also the generation of revenues by all team members of the department with correct selling and conversion tactics employed, to the end of achieving revenue budgets. Correct billing procedures and money collection would also be a high priority. This position will also interface closely with the Sales, Marketing, Food and Beverage and Front Desk Departments to further identify opportunities and drive business needs.


Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the following duties:


  • Accountability for delivering departmental objectives:

    • Total Hotel Revenue Targets (Rooms, C&E and C&E related F&B)

    • Fair Market Share Targets

    • Support eCommerce team with web audits and updating content

    • Drive channel performance

    • Conversion Targets in the groups department

    • Mystery Guest Targets (BDRC) and improvement

    • Quality Client experience, and correct sales format always followed

    • Turnaround times and Quality of Proposals

    • Up selling (Reservations and GC&E)

    • Accurate and timely billing

    • Money / Payment Collection

  • Own commercial strategy from planning through to execution using the Hilton Worldwide commercial focus process.

  • Direct and oversee all commercial activities from demand generation to maximizing conversion, ensuring correct policies and procedures as set out by the Hotel and Hilton Worldwide are followed.

  • Support to Cluster Revenue Manager:

    • Controlling rates and inventory in OnQ PM and R&I

    • Drawing up Statistics and reports

    • Yearly Rate Strategies (Managed and Unmanaged Segments)

    • Ideas RMS system maintenance and setup

    • Management reports as needed

    • Weekly and Monthly Rooms Forecasts

    • GC&E forecasts

    • Yearly budget planning


What are we looking for?


The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:


  • Grade 12 or equivalent with at least 5 years supervisory and/or management experience within the hospitality sector with relevant diploma/degree will be an added advantage.

  • Knowledge in specialized revenue/sales related systems, including OnQ, R&I, Delphi and all applicable revenue management systems

  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a keen desire to learn and grow.

  • Fully understands the pressure of achieving deadlines and accuracy.

  • Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.

  • Leading & supporting the GC&E Team.

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Capable of using independent judgment/solid decision making skills.

  • Proven excellence in customer service.
