  • Previous experience working within Sales or similar environment preferred

Education or Certification

  • Good level of English essential


The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

1) Proactively identifies qualifies and solicits new transient/group/catering business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.

2) Understands the overall market - competitor's strengths and weaknesses, economic trends supply and demand etc. and knows to sell against them.

3) Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.

4) Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.

5) Builds and strengthens relationships within the community to strengthens and expand customer base for transient/group/catering sales opportunities.

6) Effectively develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for transient/group/catering sales opportunities.

7) Effectively use sales resources and administrative/support staff.

8) Presents the benefits of the hotel to the customer.

9) Works collaboratively with off property sales channels (Market Sales, Strategic Accounts, GSO) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.

10) Cross sells other properties in Dubai and in the system.

11) Continuously focuses on improving Guest Satisfaction to create loyalty and increase market share.

12) Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels; effectively responds to handles guest problems and complaints.

13) Attends pre- and post convention meetings to understand group needs obtain feedback on quality of product (e.g rooms meeting facilities and equipment food and beverage) service levels and overall satisfaction.

14) Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
  • Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 48 hours per week.
